Welcome to Board to Beers, your local game establishment featuring 400+ games and local brews.
Board to Beers is female owned and operated by Taylor Herndon. For Taylor, this was once a dream sitting on a shelf, but through her hard work and determination became a reality. Starting first as a Kickstarter campaign in 2019 Taylor spearheaded pop-up game events and rallied with the community to make funding the location the start of the bar legacy. With speedbumps and sharp turns Taylor navigated through renovations, permits, and other setbacks to rise victorious when she opened for the first time to the public in August 2020.
Why a board game bar? Why not! When you come to visit Board to Beers you immediately feel right at home. It was Taylor's intention to create a space that stepped back from all the hustle and bustle of the daily life to unwind and play games. It's a inventive space that promotes relaxation and friendly competition with the added bonus of beers and ciders from the Memphis community. Essentially, it's an extenstion of Taylor's game room with the entire community. With the support of her husband Drew, they've collected over 400 games to share with patrons. As a passionate event planner, Taylor also keeps things exciting with different events, tournaments and a weekly Trivia Night.
